Short answer: the JBL Partybox 310. It ranks #3 of 44 party speakers at $499.95; the Soundboks Go ranks #27 and costs $550, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.
What the JBL Partybox 310 gets right: Absolute deepest bass of any battery powered speaker, most balanced sound in the class, handle and wheels are convenient. Set against that: Very large.
On the Soundboks Go side: Exceptional 40-hour battery life at mid-volume (10 hours at full volume), swappable design (second battery $200 available). The tradeoff: Not as loud as the other Soundboks.
One note: the JBL Partybox 310 is discontinued, but it still ranks #3 of 44 party speakers, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.
Buy the JBL Partybox 310 if the ranking matters more than the price. Buy the Soundboks Go if the price matters more than the ranking.
