Short answer: the Soundboks Mix, if you are buying new. The JBL Partybox 300 ranks higher than it (#10 vs #29 of 44 party speakers, 4.3/5 vs 3.2/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Soundboks Mix is still sold new at $799.
The JBL Partybox 300 is the better-sounding choice. Exceptional sound quality with crisp, crystal clear highs and midranges, hard punchy bass without muddiness. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Soundboks Mix. The catch: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground.
The Soundboks Mix is the longer-running, lighter option. USB-C fast charging (65W) for the swappable battery, up to 40 hours of battery life at mid-volume, IP65 dust/water resistance, and TeamUp linking with up to 5 other SKAA-equipped Soundboks speakers. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 18 for the JBL Partybox 300. At 21.4 lbs (9.7 kg) it weighs much less than the JBL Partybox 300 at 35.3 lbs (16 kg). It is rated IP65, while the JBL Partybox 300 has no water resistance. Watch for: Doesn’t have as deep of bass as higher-ranked speakers, and can sound somewhat bright in the treble.
Buy the Soundboks Mix, since the JBL Partybox 300 is discontinued and only worth hunting down used.

Older model: the Soundboks Go (ranked lower, rated 3.1/5).
Pros: USB-C fast charging (65W) for the swappable battery, up to 40 hours of battery life at mid-volume, IP65 dust/water resistance, and TeamUp linking with up to 5 other SKAA-equipped Soundboks speakers. High efficiency drivers reach 2-3x the volume of typical speakers for the same wattage.
