Short answer: both are discontinued, so this only matters if you are buying used. Used, the JBL Partybox 300 is the better pick: it ranks #10 of 44 party speakers by sound quality (rated 4.3/5), against #30 (rated 3.1/5) for the Soundboks Go. If you want one new, the Sony ULT Tower 7 ranks #1 at $648.

The JBL Partybox 300 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass choice. Exceptional sound quality with crisp, crystal clear highs and midranges, hard punchy bass without muddiness. Its bass reaches about 40Hz before falling 10dB, against 55Hz for the Soundboks Go. The catch: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground.
The Soundboks Go is the longer-running, lighter option. Exceptional 40-hour battery life at mid-volume (10 hours at full volume), swappable design (second battery $200 available). It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 18 for the JBL Partybox 300. At 19.8 lbs (9 kg) it weighs much less than the JBL Partybox 300 at 35.3 lbs (16 kg). It links with other speakers (TeamUp, up to 5 speakers), which the JBL Partybox 300 cannot. The tradeoff: Not as loud as the other Soundboks.
Buy the JBL Partybox 300 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Sony ULT Tower 7 instead.
