Short answer: the Klipsch Gig XXL for value, the JBL Partybox 300 for sound quality. The Gig XXL is really amazing value for the money, though it is not quite as clean sounding as the top ranked speakers. The 300 delivers exceptional sound quality with crisp, crystal clear highs and midranges and hard punchy bass without muddiness, but it is hard to carry, too tall and drags on the ground.
Buy the Klipsch Gig XXL new; the JBL Partybox 300 is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.

Pros: Exceptional sound quality with crisp, crystal clear highs and midranges, hard punchy bass without muddiness. 2x 6.5” woofers + 3x 2.25” tweeters, bass boost function, 45Hz-20kHz frequency range. 18-hour battery with 10400mAh capacity. Multiple inputs (RCA, USB, 3.5mm aux, mic, guitar). LED light modes (meter/pulse/party). True Wireless Stereo pairing up to 2 units. Measured bass extension of 40Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground. Max spl and bass extension are only as good as the Partybox 100. No real reason to ever get one, get a Partybox 100 instead. Discontinued.

Klipsch Gig XXL: $79.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: A straightforward 8.2kg party speaker with a large 8-inch woofer, horn tweeter, aux and USB playback, guitar and microphone inputs, karaoke reverb, TWS pairing and a USB-A power bank. Independent testing confirms that it gets remarkably loud and gives EDM and hip-hop a lively, bass-forward character. Really good value for the money.
Cons: Bass is more warm than deep and can become muddy at high volume. There is no app or proper EQ beyond a Bass button, no water rating, and the claimed eight-hour battery life is short for an outdoor party speaker. It is a fun, simple option, but not the cleanest or most flexible choice.
