JBL Partybox 110 vs Club 120

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Short answer: the Club 120, mainly for the removable battery. It ranks #4 of 45 party speakers at $349.95; the Partybox 110 ranks #7 at $299.95, $50 less.

Bass depth is where JBL’s own notes draw the line. The Club 120’s pros explicitly claim deeper bass than both the Partybox 100 and 110, while the 110’s own cons admit its bass isn’t quite as deep as the older 100 it replaced, an odd admission for a newer model.

The removable battery is the bigger practical difference. It means the Club 120 can outlive its cells the way a sealed-battery speaker like the 110 can’t, which matters more the longer you plan to keep either one.

Both need the same EQ tweak out of the box. Our notes recommend increasing treble one step on the 110 for a more neutral sound; the Club 120 is already described as quite neutral without that adjustment.

Buy the Club 120 for deeper bass, a replaceable battery, and the higher ranking. Buy the Partybox 110 if the $50 saved matters more than either of those.

JBL Partybox 110 ranking card

Pros: Very neutral sound, slightly better than the Partybox 100.

Cons: Bass isn’t as deep as the Partybox 100. Just as loud and slightly deeper than a Stormbox Blast which is way smaller with better sound. Increase treble one step in the app to make it more neutral. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal.
