Short answer: the JBL Partybox 100 for cleaner sound, the Klipsch Gig XXL for value. The Gig XXL is called really amazing value for the money at $79.99 against the Partybox 100’s $499.99, but it is not quite as clean sounding as the top ranked speakers. The Partybox 100 sounds quite neutral with pretty deep bass, with a slight peak in the upper mids as its tradeoff.
Buy the Klipsch Gig XXL if you want one new; the JBL Partybox 100 is discontinued, so only look for it used.

Newer model: the JBL Partybox Club 120, ranked higher, rated 4.5/5.
Pros: Quite neutral sound, pretty deep bass. Measured bass extension of 41Hz (-10dB).
Cons: A slight peak in the upper mids. Slight TWS issue where the 2nd is slightly delayed. Just as loud and slightly deeper bass than a Stormbox Blast which is way smaller with better sound quality. Discontinued.

Klipsch Gig XXL: $79.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: A straightforward 8.2kg party speaker with a large 8-inch woofer, horn tweeter, aux and USB playback, guitar and microphone inputs, karaoke reverb, TWS pairing and a USB-A power bank. Independent testing confirms that it gets remarkably loud and gives EDM and hip-hop a lively, bass-forward character. Really good value for the money.
Cons: Bass is more warm than deep and can become muddy at high volume. There is no app or proper EQ beyond a Bass button, no water rating, and the claimed eight-hour battery life is short for an outdoor party speaker. It is a fun, simple option, but not the cleanest or most flexible choice.
