Short answer: the JBL Partybox Club 120, if you are buying new. The JBL Partybox 100 measures as well as the JBL Partybox 110 (#8 vs #9 of 53 party speakers) but is discontinued; its replacement, the JBL Partybox Club 120, is rated 4.5/5 at $399.95 and is still sold new.
The sound difference is small and runs in the 110’s favor. Its pros describe very neutral sound, slightly better than the Partybox 100. The 100’s own cons flag a slight peak in the upper mids and a minor TWS pairing delay, and both models get the same underlying note: just as loud and slightly deeper bass than a Stormbox Blast, which the review says is way smaller with better sound quality overall. The 110’s cons note it gives up a little bass depth compared to the 100, but a one-step treble bump in the app is enough to bring it back to neutral.
What the JBL Partybox 110 adds:
- A companion app with 3-band EQ, which the 100 lacks entirely.
- IPX4 splash resistance, versus no water resistance on the 100.
- Faster charging, at 3.5 hours versus 6.5 hours for the 100.
- Newer Bluetooth (5.1 vs 4.2), for a more stable connection.
Everything else matches: both run the same 160W output, the same 2x 5.25-inch woofer and 2x 2.25-inch tweeter driver layout, identical 41Hz bass extension, a 12-hour battery, and karaoke-ready mic and guitar inputs.
Buy the JBL Partybox 110 for the app EQ, splash resistance, and faster charging, all for less money and a very slightly more neutral tune.
Buy the JBL Partybox 100 only if you find a used unit priced well below the 110 and don’t need an app, water resistance, or fast charging.
