Pros: IP68 rating, up from the Go 4’s IP67. AirTouch tap-to-pair stereo linking. 7-band custom app EQ, up from the Go 4’s 5-band. USB-C wired audio input.
Cons: Still overpriced for what it delivers, not very different from the Go 4 besides the lights. Still lacking bass and not very clear overall. Mono downmixing produces an audible growling artifact, the same issue noted on the JBL Charge 6. Falls well short of similarly priced rivals like the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2. Weak off-axis dispersion and an uneven, upper-mid-heavy tonal balance. Doesn’t get meaningfully louder at max volume, just harsher.

Mifa Tango: $95 Discontinued eBay
Pros: A compact 390g speaker that reaches an unusually high 97dB maximum level for its size, with IP67 protection, USB-C charging, a flashlight, microSD playback, speakerphone capability and TWS/PartyAdd linking. Its orientation-aware tuning and strong output make it a capable choice for travel or a small outdoor group. Measured bass extension of 69Hz (-10dB).
Cons: The rising response and 4kHz peak make the sound more balanced off-axis than directly in front, while its 69Hz -10dB bass point limits real low-end weight. There is no app or EQ, and reports note potential Android pairing/distortion issues. It is discontinued, so condition and support matter on the used market.
