JBL Boombox 4 vs W-King X10-1

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Boombox 4 for better sound quality, the W-King X10-1 for the lower price. The JBL Boombox 4 ranks #17 of 73 boombox speakers at $549.95. The W-King X10-1 ranks #61 at $80.37, $469.58 cheaper.

The case for the JBL Boombox 4: Pretty insane output capability for the size, with 7-band EQ for better tuning than the Boombox 3. Set against that: It’s overpriced for the category, sounds worse than the Boombox 3 out of the box, and drops Aux input entirely.

What the W-King X10-1 gets right: 70W RMS output with 120W peak power, 108dB max volume, exceptional 42-hour battery life with power bank, IPX6 waterproof, Bluetooth 5.0 with 100ft range, EQ with indoor/outdoor modes, dual subwoofers with tweeters and passive radiators, TWS stereo pairing. The catch: Rolled off treble, not much bass.

Buy the JBL Boombox 4 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the W-King X10-1 if the price matters more than sound quality.

If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the W-King X10-1. It ranks near the bottom of the 73 boombox speakers, so look higher up the list instead.

If battery life is a priority, the W-King X10-1 is rated for 42 hours versus 28 hours for the JBL Boombox 4.

Pros: Pretty insane output capability for the size.

Cons: Pretty overpriced for the category. Better than the Boombox 3 mostly because there are more 7 EQ bands instead of just 3 and it can be better tuned. Try Oluv’s EQ for it. Out of the box sounds worse than the Boombox 3. No Aux input.
