JBL Boombox 3 vs W-King X10

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Boombox 3. It ranks #27 of 98 boombox speakers by sound quality, rated 3.8/5, at $349.95. The W-King X10 ranks #86, rated 2.3/5, at $80, $269.95 cheaper, which does not close the gap in sound quality.

JBL Boombox 3 vs W-King X10

The JBL Boombox 3 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass pick. 24 hour battery life (6.5 hour charge time). Its bass reaches about 43Hz before falling 10dB, against 52Hz for the W-King X10. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 110dB at full volume, against 106dB for the W-King X10. It links with other speakers (PartyBoost up to 100 speakers), which the W-King X10 cannot. Watch for: Dips in mid bass range which makes the bass sound undefined, bass boosted, peaky at 700Hz, not quite as good mids and treble as the Blast.

The W-King X10 is the longer-running, lighter choice. It is rated for 42 hours of battery against 24 for the JBL Boombox 3. At 6.5 lbs (2.95 kg) it weighs much less than the JBL Boombox 3 at 14.8 lbs (6.7 kg). It has an adjustable EQ, which the JBL Boombox 3 lacks. The catch: Heavily rolled off treble, less bass than the top ranked.

Buy the JBL Boombox 3. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $269.95 with the W-King X10 does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
