The iLoud MTM’s room-correction microphone is the real differentiator. Our notes describe it resolving specific room resonance peaks at 150Hz and 220Hz in testing, though it’s SPL-limited, with bass falling off sharply below its 51Hz F3 point.
The Rokit 5 G4 answers with deeper bass than the Yamaha HS5, good horizontal directivity from its waveguided tweeter, and onboard DSP that can correct its own 680Hz port resonance without a separate calibration mic.
Buy the Rokit 5 G4 for the stronger value case. Buy the iLoud MTM if automated room correction is worth the substantial premium.
