The HSU’s 15-inch ported driver delivers a 121.8dB CEA-2010-A average against the XS15SE’s 117.8dB, but the ported design is prone to room modes and the 50 kg (110.2 lbs) cabinet is mid-large. The XS15SE’s compact sealed enclosure gives up that output.
Buy the HSU Research VTF-15H MK2 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, buy the HSU Research VTF-TN1, which replaces the HSU Research VTF-15H MK2.
