Short answer: both are discontinued, so this only matters if you are buying used. Used, the Onkyo SKW-204 is the better pick: it ranks #3 of 73 subwoofers by sound quality (rated 3.8/5), against #24 (rated 3.4/5) for the GoldenEar ForceField 3. If you want one new, the GoldenEar ForceField 30 replaces the GoldenEar ForceField 3 and is rated 3.4/5 at $599.99.
Buy the Onkyo SKW-204 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, buy the GoldenEar ForceField 30, which replaces the GoldenEar ForceField 3.
