Short answer: the Genelec 8351B for flatter on- and off-axis response, with a deep-bass caveat. Its CEA2034 spinorama is exceptionally flat both on and off axis, but deep bass distortion rises substantially at 96dB SPL/1m and the reviewer notes deep bass suffers below about 100Hz. The 8050B is very good on axis with excellent directivity, though a dip around 2kHz shows up on axis and in-room. The Genelec 8050B is discontinued; its replacement is the Genelec 8350A.
Buy the Genelec 8351B. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Genelec 8050B is discontinued.
