Its own notes are direct that it lacks GLM calibration and any consumer streaming inputs, and that its balanced XLR connection may need an audio interface or controller to work with a typical desktop source, unlike the IN-8 V2’s XLR and RCA combination.
The physical builds differ too: the IN-8 V2 uses a larger 8-inch woofer at 140W per speaker, while the Genelec’s smaller 6.5-inch woofer runs at 180W, in a notably more compact cabinet.
