Genelec 7380A: $6,395 B&H Photo Video eBay
Older model: the Genelec 7071A (rated 3.9/5).
Pros: 15-inch (381mm) driver with an 800W Class D amplifier. Genelec rates it down to 16Hz at -6dB with 119dB short-term and 123dB peak output. Analog XLR inputs and outputs for up to 7.1 bass management plus a separate LFE input, AES/EBU digital input, and GLM network control with room calibration.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its output can’t be compared with ranked subwoofers. At 69kg and 718mm wide it needs floor space and two people to move. Room calibration needs Genelec’s GLM kit or 9320A controller, sold separately.

Genelec 7071A: $4995 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Genelec 7380A. It’s likely to perform similarly, though we don’t have measurements to confirm that yet. It replaces the dual 12-inch design with a single 15-inch driver and adds GLM room calibration and an AES/EBU digital input.
Pros: Independent CEA-2010 testing records 106.6 dB at 20 Hz and 118.0 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported, bottom enclosure with 2x 12” (305mm) driver has the headroom for demanding film bass in a large room.
Cons: The 754.9H x 802.9W x 490.0D mm cabinet and 81.0 kg mass make this a serious placement and moving commitment. Ported output does not solve room modes, so careful placement and calibration remain essential. Discontinued.
