The Edifier MR4.5 is the deeper-bass pick. A desktop monitor pair with deep bass for its size, LDAC Bluetooth, balanced inputs, a headphone jack and app tuning. Its bass reaches about 60Hz before falling 3dB, against 67Hz for the Edifier M60. The catch: The response is uneven, with a broad upper-bass bump around 120 to 150Hz, a presence dip of roughly 3dB around 2 to 3kHz and brighter treble above it (listening-window tilt +0.22dB per octave), which holds its preference score to about 3.9 on its own and 6.1 with an ideal subwoofer.
The Edifier M60 is the more accurate choice. Small desktop speakers with even sound, USB, Bluetooth and included stands, easy to set up at a desk. Its measured preference score, a predictor of how neutral it sounds, is 4.60 against 3.86 for the Edifier MR4.5. The tradeoff: The on-axis response rises by about 0.57dB per octave, so the tonal balance becomes brighter toward the treble.
Buy the Edifier M60. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Edifier MR4.5 at the same price, so it is the default pick unless a specific strength of the other one matters more to you.
