Dali Katch G2 vs Vifa Helsinki

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Short answer: the Vifa Helsinki. It ranks #1 of 77 large speakers by sound quality at $449; the Dali Katch G2 ranks #58 and costs $750, so there is little reason to consider the other one.

What the Dali Katch G2 gets right: Pretty neutral Watch for: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Horribly overpriced. Nearly identical to the Dali Katch G1. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging.

The case for the Vifa Helsinki: Generally regarded as the best midrange and treble sound quality of any battery powered Bluetooth speaker. Set against that: No TWS pairing, looks like a purse, requires a hacked Vifa app (Android only post #48) to enable night mode to sound good.

Buy the Vifa Helsinki. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Dali Katch G2 and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.

The Dali Katch G2 is not a sound-quality pick. It sits near the bottom of the 77 large speakers; there are better options higher up.

Battery life favors the Dali Katch G2: rated for 30 hours against 8 hours for the Vifa Helsinki.

If water resistance matters to you, the Dali Katch G2 at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Vifa Helsinki at no water resistance.

Pros: Generally regarded as the best midrange and treble sound quality of any battery powered Bluetooth speaker.

Cons: No TWS pairing, looks like a purse, requires a hacked Vifa app (Android only post #48) to enable night mode to sound good. Not sure I can recommend this one generally these days, the Uboom L has 98% of the sound quality with more features and a way cheaper price. There are mentions that the 2022 “new” version of this speaker doesn’t sound as good as Vifa was purchased by a Chinese company and laid off all the great sound engineers in the Austria office.
