The Zeppelin Pro is a stationary, plugged-in speaker built for a room, not a bag. Its titanium dome tweeters and improved 24-bit DAC give it slightly better high-frequency detail on hi-res streams than the standard Zeppelin, and it carries over that model’s wide soundstage and deep bass extension. It has no battery and no water resistance, so it’s genuinely an indoor-only speaker, and it costs the same as the standard Zeppelin for what amounts to a modest tweeter and DAC upgrade.
The Devialet Mania is built to travel, but its sound has real limitations. It’s small and nice-looking, with 10 hours of battery and an IPX4 splash rating that the Zeppelin Pro can’t match at all. But it isn’t very loud, its bass is boosted rather than natural, and reviewers have noted a huge off-axis treble rolloff since its tweeters aren’t aimed directly at the listener. Its upper mids and treble drew criticism in listening notes as well.
Everything else follows from the size and power difference: the Zeppelin Pro runs 240W through a 150mm woofer and dual midrange and tweeter pairs, while the Devialet Mania runs 176W through four full-range drivers and two woofers in a much smaller enclosure. Pros: Titanium dome tweeters and an improved 24-bit DAC over the standard Zeppelin for slightly better high-frequency detail on hi-res streams. Dynamic EQ DSP. Customizable downward-firing light. Same wide soundstage and deep bass extension as the standard Zeppelin.
Cons: Same price as the standard Zeppelin for a fairly modest tweeter/DAC upgrade. Nothing besides the lack of battery, lack of waterproofing, high cost and the Earfun Uboom X that’s so close to it in terms of sound quality for 7x less money. Basically an indoor only speaker. At this price point the Top Recommended Bookshelf Speakers are the better buy, with even better soundstage.

Devialet Mania: $899.00 Amazon eBay
Pros: Small, nice looking. Measured bass extension of 47Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not very loud. Extremely high price. Bass boosted. Tweeters are not aimed at you and there’s a huge treble rolloff off-axis as compared to the Beoplay P6 in the comparison video. Only 10 hours of battery. Oluv didn’t like the upper mids or treble (mentioned on his Patreon)
