Bugani Boost Max vs W-King X20

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Short answer: the W-King X20, for ten dollars more. It ranks #28 of 71 boombox speakers at $249.99; the Boost Max ranks #40 at $240.

The Boost Max’s water rating doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. It’s marketed at IPX5, but our own cons entry calls the water rating poor despite that claim, alongside bass that trails the top of the class and some midrange peaks.

The X20 leans on raw specs: a 7.5-inch subwoofer, 330W peak power, and a 24-hour battery with a built-in power bank, though its own cons note a rising frequency response with rolled-off upper treble and peaks at 700Hz and 1.2kHz.

Buy the X20 for the higher ranking and the more capable spec sheet. Buy the Boost Max only if the $10 saved matters more than the water rating gap.
