The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor is a pretty decent sounding speaker but has boosted bass and is somewhat uncontrolled in the bass at high levels. The Flex is IP67 rated, rugged enough to survive drops from several feet and floats, though it is not stereo and its warm sound with overly boosted bass drowns out midrange detail.
Buy the Bose Soundlink Flex. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $25 with the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
