The Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is the lighter option. Thin, flat profile fits easily in a bag or purse. At 0.7 lbs (330 g) it weighs much less than the Bose Soundlink Flex at 1.3 lbs (589 g). It keeps a wired aux input, which the Bose Soundlink Flex lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bose Soundlink Flex lacks. The catch: Barely any bass, rolled off treble off axis.
Buy the Bose Soundlink Flex. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is discontinued.
