Short answer: the Genelec 8050B for measured performance, the APS Klasik 2020 for uncolored sound. The 8050B’s CEA2034 spinorama shows a very good on-axis response with excellent directivity, though a dip around 2kHz appears in both the on-axis and predicted in-room measurements. The Klasik is simply described as very neutral, and it is difficult to find for sale online with no dealers in the United States.
Buy the APS Klasik 2020 if price matters most. For better sound quality, the Genelec 8350A, the replacement for the discontinued Genelec 8050B, is rated higher but costs $5,550.
