Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Micro for a neutral balance, the Soundcore Mini for inputs. The Stormbox Micro is quite neutral, though it gets murky and slightly sharp near max volume. The Mini has an FM tuner, aux input and MicroSD and costs $0.01 less, but its bass is not quite as deep as higher ranked speakers.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3, the replacement for the discontinued Tribit Stormbox Micro; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Soundcore Mini.
If battery life is a priority, the Soundcore Mini is rated for 15 hours versus 8 hours for the Tribit Stormbox Micro.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Tribit Stormbox Micro at IP67 (brief submersion) against the Soundcore Mini, which has no water resistance.
