What the Adam Audio T7V offers: Quite balanced and neutral, very close to the Yamaha HS8. Watch for: On-axis response is a bit wider than ideal for a nearfield monitor, and narrow vertical dispersion means you need to sit at tweeter height to get the intended tonal balance, per Audioholics’ measurements.
What the Kali Audio LP-8 offers: Note the newer V2 is out which could be a little better. Watch for: Eris 8 has this beat by a little bit.
Buy the Adam Audio T7V. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Kali Audio LP-8 and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.

Pros: The original LP-8 offers a large woofer, a waveguide and placement switches for affordable nearfield monitoring.
Cons: First-generation amplifier noise can be distracting at a quiet desk. The large cabinets need substantial space, and placement switches do not replace full room correction.
