The $464 Adam T5V is the affordable choice with XLR and RCA inputs, rear tonal trims and useful bass for its size. ASR data shows a 2.0dB midrange span, but the response rises toward the treble and the trims cannot precisely flatten every irregularity.
For desktop or short nearfield use, both are viable. The Kali is the better technical monitor, while the Adam makes sense when its lower cost and simpler two-way cabinet matter most.
