Larger models: the KEF Kube 10 MIE (ranked higher, rated 3.8/5), the KEF Kube 12 MIE (rated 3.9/5) and the KEF Kube 15 MIE (rated 4/5).

Pros: Compact sealed enclosure with an 8-inch front-firing long-throw driver powered by a 300W Class-D amplifier. KEF Music Integrity Engine (MIE) DSP algorithm applies real-time iBX dynamic bass extension and three room-position EQ presets (wall/corner/cabinet). Accepts speaker-level and line-level inputs, plus KEF KW1 wireless kit integration.

Cons: 8-inch sealed driver rolls off below 34Hz (-6dB) and tops out at 105dB max SPL, which limits visceral home-theater infrasonic punch in medium to large rooms compared with larger subwoofers.

How it compares: Just above it: OSD (Optimal Speaker Design) SS8 - $451 cheaper. Just below it: Klipsch Flexus Sub 100 - $420 cheaper.
