Pros: A retro styled stereo boombox with two 5.25 inch woofers, two 1.2 inch tweeters and two lit passive radiators, rated at 200W peak and up to 30 hours of battery. It comes with a rechargeable wireless microphone, a remote and a padded shoulder strap, is IPX6 water resistant, charges over USB-C, and adds a color display, reactive RGB lights, three EQ presets with bass and treble knobs, a phone charging port and stereo pairing with a second Retroboom.
Cons: Its bass is nowhere near as deep as top ranked boomboxes like the Tribit Stormbox Blast and Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, which reach down to about 43 Hz and 35 Hz. No independent reviews or measurements yet, so its rating is estimated from Bumpboxx’s other boomboxes, whose earlier Ultra model drew reviews comparing its sound to a cheap department store boombox. IPX6 covers rain and splashes, not submersion, and it costs more than many larger party speakers.
