#54 Rogers LS3/5A Classic: $3,500/pair Rogers Hi-Fi eBay

Pros: A licensed British-made LS3/5A with the classic sealed-box voicing, excellent cabinetry and an amplifier-friendly 15-ohm nominal load. The local Spinorama snapshot rises from 1.99 to 5.06 with a subwoofer, making its best case as a compact midrange specialist in a sub-assisted system.

Cons: The 74Hz measured extension, roughly 81dB measured sensitivity and low raw preference score impose real output and bass limits. Directivity and room-response smoothness are weak by modern standards, while the price is exceptionally high for the measured performance.

How it compares: Just above it: Totem Kin One - $2900 cheaper, 0.9Hz higher bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: Vandersteen VLR Wood - $1440 cheaper, 3.5Hz higher bass extension (-3dB).
