#67 NHT C3: $625 (single, sold individually) Amazon eBay

Pros: An unusual sealed 3-way design at this price, all-aluminum drivers (woofer, midrange dome and tweeter). Independently measured by ASR with excellent sound-power smoothness of 0.136, meaning off-axis behavior stays well controlled, a tight directivity-index standard deviation of 3.05, and a well-damped bass-alignment Q of 0.73 from the sealed cabinet.

Cons: On-axis deviation of 0.427dB is middling, though the tonal balance itself is close to neutral (a slope of just 0.01dB per octave). It’s sold as a single unit on Amazon rather than a matched pair, so pricing and ordering need to account for buying two.

How it compares: Just above it: Ascend CBM-170 SE2 - $157 cheaper, 0.2Hz lower bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: Klipsch RP-600M II - $135 cheaper, 1Hz lower bass extension (-3dB).
