#11 KEF R6 Meta: $2,199.99 each Amazon eBay
Pros: The larger R Series center uses the same 12th generation Uni-Q coaxial driver as the R2 Meta (25mm vented aluminium tweeter with MAT inside a 125mm midrange) with two 6.5” bass drivers, so it matches R Series left and right speakers tonally. KEF’s Spinorama data holds the listening window within 2.5dB from 300Hz to 5kHz. KEF rates it at 88dB, 1dB more sensitive than the R2 Meta.
Cons: The only measurements are KEF’s own, and spinorama.org computes no preference score for them, so the ranking is an estimate. Despite the bigger woofers, KEF’s data shows no deeper bass than the R2 Meta: 79.9Hz (-3dB) and about 56Hz (-10dB), so it still needs a subwoofer. It costs $2200 and is 625mm wide.
How it compares: Just above it: Ascend Acoustics Sierra Horizon V2 - $202 cheaper. Just below it: Infinity Reference RC263 - $1700 cheaper, 1Hz higher bass extension (-3dB).
