Pros: A DIY two-way kit by the late Jeff Bagby with an SB Acoustics SB17 6.5” woofer and an SB29 ring radiator tweeter, with a crossover at 1.8kHz. Audio Science Review measured a preference score of 5.1 that reaches 7.18 with an ideal subwoofer, with 0.34 listening window deviation. Measured bass extension of 55.7Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The on-axis response is uneven (1.35 average deviation). It is a kit to build yourself, and the original version has been replaced by the Mandolin 2. Bass reaches 55.7Hz (-3dB) and about 38Hz (-10dB). Discontinued.
