#35 Infinity Prelude MTS: $8,000 per pair Discontinued eBay

Pros: A modular four-way tower with a 1” tweeter, a 3.5” midrange and four 5” midbass drivers in ceramic metal matrix, on top of a powered 12” subwoofer module with an 850W amplifier. Infinity’s measurements show an exceptionally flat on-axis response (0.07 average deviation) and very deep bass, 26.9Hz (-3dB), for a preference score of 7.54.

Cons: That data comes from Infinity and has not been independently verified. The subwoofer modules need mains power. Produced around 2000 to 2005. Discontinued.

How it compares: Just above it: Monitor Audio Silver 500 7G - $6776 cheaper, 0.5Hz higher bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: Revel Ultima Studio - $2799 more, 3Hz lower bass extension (-3dB).
