#116 Fluance Signature HFC: $179.99 each Estimated Amazon eBay

Same family: the Fluance Signature HFS (bookshelf, rated 2.1/5) and the Fluance Signature HFF (floorstanding, estimated 2.4/5).

Pros: The center channel of Fluance’s Signature series, with two 5” glass fiber woofers either side of a 1” soft dome tweeter. Sensitivity is a high 92dB, so it is easy to drive and keeps up with the HFF towers.

Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared directly with measured speakers; the rating is estimated from the measured Signature HFS bookshelf, which had an uneven, colored response. The horizontal woofer and tweeter layout narrows dispersion off to the sides, and bass is rated only to 60Hz.
