Pros: A three-way center channel with two 5.25” Kevlar woofers, a soft dome tweeter and a super tweeter, plus a switch that shifts its level between -2dB and +4dB to match the front speakers. Sensitivity is 92dB. Measurements show reasonable bass for a center, 72Hz (-3dB) and about 55Hz (-10dB). Measured bass extension of 72.3Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The on-axis response is uneven (0.83 average deviation), for a preference score of 3.36 that reaches 6.07 with an ideal subwoofer, and that data is low quality, from a third-party measurement. It is sold mainly in Europe.
How it compares: Just above it: Klipsch Reference R-30C - 4Hz higher bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: Atlantic Technology 8600eC - 1Hz higher bass extension (-3dB).
