#54 DALI Oberon Vokal: $599 each Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the DALI Sonik Cinema, ranked higher, estimated 3.5/5.
Pros: A two-way center with a 29mm soft dome tweeter between two 5.25” wood fiber woofers, a front port for placement close to a wall and 89.5dB sensitivity. Audio Science Review measured low on-axis deviation (0.37) and bass to about 48Hz at -10dB. Measured bass extension of 95.2Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Horizontal coverage is narrow (about ±20 degrees), so off-center seats hear a duller voice, and bass rolls off at 95.2Hz (-3dB). Preference score 3.29 without a subwoofer. DALI replaced the Oberon line with Sonik in 2026. Discontinued.
How it compares: Just above it: JBL Studio 520C - $249 cheaper, 1.5Hz lower bass extension (-3dB). Just below it: AV123 X-CS - $400 cheaper, 1Hz higher bass extension (-3dB).
