Pros: Its 6.08 preference score with an ideal subwoofer places it in the upper half of this ranking, and its 1.8dB reference band keeps the midrange and treble tonally even. The coaxial 10-inch and 1-inch neodymium drivers keep sound consistent as listeners move around, with 0.66 predicted in-room smoothness. At 12.5kg with 97dB sensitivity and a 127dB peak rating, it also works as a stage monitor or pole-mounted top. Measured bass extension of 95Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Bass drops early, at 95Hz for -3dB and about 70Hz for -10dB, so a subwoofer is needed for full-range music. It is passive and needs an external amplifier and processor with Seeburg presets, unless you buy the self-powered X4 dp instead.
