#41 One Systems 312HC Passive eBay
Pros: Manufacturer measurements give preference scores of 2.81 standalone and 5.62 with an ideal subwoofer, with a very flat on-axis response (0.61dB average deviation). Three 12-inch woofers take bass to 73Hz (-3dB) and about 42Hz (-10dB), and 99dB sensitivity with 1,200W handling suits stadiums and large outdoor venues. Measured bass extension of 73Hz (-3dB).
Cons: The 42kg cabinet needs rigging, and its narrow 60° pattern covers less audience than wider designs. Response is quoted only to 16kHz. It is passive, needs a 4 ohm capable amplifier, and is sold through pro dealers with no published price.
How it compares: Just above it: Vue Audiotechnik A-12. Just below it: PreSonus CDL12P.
