#30 Martin Audio FlexPoint FP8 Passive eBay
Pros: Deep bass for an 8-inch speaker, reaching 58Hz at -3dB and about 47Hz at -10dB in vendor measurements, with a smooth on-axis response (0.44dB average deviation) and 94dB sensitivity. Measured bass extension of 58Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Preference scores of 1.19 standalone and 3.51 with an ideal subwoofer are low because the listening window spreads across 4.8dB, so off-axis listeners hear a different balance. It is passive.
How it compares: Just above it: RCF ART 708-A MK4. Just below it: Novacoustic Pariz P28.
