Pros: A slim passive column with accurate sound, very wide coverage, and high output, designed to pair with a subwoofer. Vendor Spinorama data gives preference scores of 4.01 standalone and 7.58 with an ideal subwoofer. Six 5-inch drivers and three compression drivers form a slim 21kg line source with 140° horizontal coverage and 137dB peak SPL. It is intended to be paired with SYVA Low or a subwoofer, which is where the system’s bass comes from. Measured bass extension of 106Hz (-3dB).
Cons: On its own it reaches only about 106Hz (-3dB), so it cannot be used without a subwoofer. It is a passive line source that needs L-Acoustics amplified controllers, and the narrow 25° vertical coverage limits placement flexibility. Listening-window narrow-band deviation is 0.319 and on-axis deviation is higher than the coaxial competition.
