#6 JBL VTX F35 Passive eBay
Pros: The highest-scoring speaker in this group: vendor data gives 6.19 on its own and 8.36 with an ideal subwoofer, with very consistent directivity (2.92dB variation) and bass to 48.7Hz at -3dB and about 38Hz at -10dB. Specified at 143dB peak. Measured bass extension of 48.7Hz (-3dB).
Cons: JBL’s published data is heavily smoothed, which flatters the score, so we rate it below what the raw number suggests. In-room bass is uneven, it runs only from external Crown amplifiers with JBL presets, weighs 52.6kg and is sold through pro dealers with no published price.
