Pros: High-quality manufacturer measurements give preference scores of 3.14 standalone and 6.01 with an ideal subwoofer. It is a 3-way design with a coaxial 1.4-inch mid/high driver above a low-distortion 12-inch woofer, rated at 98dB sensitivity and a very high 143dB peak. A rotatable 90° x 60° waveguide and passive or bi-amp operation suit both portable and installed systems. Measured bass extension of 85Hz (-3dB).
Cons: Bass measures 85Hz at -3dB and about 52Hz at -10dB, so a subwoofer is needed for full-range music.
