#94 Zaylli Lyro: $249.00 Zaylli $249.00 eBay

Pros: A very light open back on ear (under 112 g) at about $249 with a preference score of 85 across two measurements. Bass extends fully with a gentle 2 dB lift, and a tuning switch toggles between two voicings.

Cons: Presence is 2.7 dB hot with a 6.6 dB peak near 3.3 kHz, so vocals can turn shouty at volume, and an 8.4 dB dip near 10.3 kHz trims air. It sits on the ear rather than around it, so it leaks sound and some find on ear pressure tiring.

Is the Zaylli Lyro right for you?

Buy it if

  • you want the tuning most listeners prefer in blind tests out of the box (Harman score 85).
  • you want sub-bass rumble that reaches down to 20 Hz.

Skip it if

  • you are treble-sensitive (treble sits about 2.3 dB above target).
  • you need isolation or will use it in public: open-back headphones leak sound both ways.
  • you want the best value: the higher-rated Kiwi Ears x Z Reviews Serene costs about $138 less.

Frequency Response

How the Zaylli Lyro measures across the audible range, against the Harman over-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the average of 2 independent measurements, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
