Whizzer BS1 - ranked #633 of 1084 In-Ear Headphones · Editor's rating 3.6/5

#633 Whizzer BS1 eBay

Pros: A budget earphone with a 13.6mm dynamic driver in an open-back housing and a fixed cable. It measures reasonably close to the Harman target (score 68 across five measurements).

Cons: No current new listing was found, so it is mainly found used. Treble sits about 4.1 dB below target, a dark, relaxed balance. Bass sits about 3.1 dB below target, so it sounds lean. Sub-bass falls about 4.8 dB short at 30 Hz. A 2.58 dB spread from the target shows peaks and dips that better tuned sets avoid.

Is the Whizzer BS1 right for you?

Buy it if

  • you are sensitive to bright or sharp treble (treble sits 4.1 dB below target).
  • you are happy to use EQ: our preset lifts its Harman match by about 20 points.

Skip it if

  • you want more bass (about 3 dB below target).

Frequency Response

How the Whizzer BS1 measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the median of 5 independent measurements, so one odd sample or rig cannot skew it, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
