#130 Sony WH-1000XM2 Wireless Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Sony WH-1000XM6, ranked lower, rated 2.3/5, released May 2025. See every Sony WH-1000X generation.
Pros: A warm, punchy tuning that scores 74 on the Harman scale, with bass about 4 dB above target and extension to 20 Hz, plus strong noise cancelling and LDAC support.
Cons: Discontinued and replaced by the Sony WH-1000XM3. A 6 dB peak near 1.9 kHz pushes the upper mids forward, which can make some vocals and guitars sound slightly shouty, and the bass lift adds some warmth that blurs detail.
