Zealot ZE41 vs Zealot ZE01

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Short answer: the Zealot ZE41. It ranks #17 of 98 boombox speakers by sound quality, rated 4.1/5, at $259.90. The Zealot ZE01 ranks #36, rated 3.7/5, at $159.90, $100 cheaper, which does not close the gap in sound quality.

Zealot ZE41 vs Zealot ZE01

The ZE41 is the bigger, bassier Zealot. A large subwoofer, two midrange drivers and two tweeters on 300W give it the most bass and volume for the money in the boombox class. It adds an app, a karaoke mic input and PartyAdd linking. At 25.3 lbs (11.48 kg) it is very heavy, its battery is rated for just 4 hours, and its Bass EQ setting sounds bloated.

The ZE01 is the lighter, longer-running choice. At 13.2 lbs (6 kg) it weighs about half as much as the ZE41, it claims 40 hours of battery, it charges over USB-C, and its bass still reaches about 45Hz before falling 10dB. Both share a slightly rolled-off top end and less clarity than better-tuned rivals. The ZE01 has no app or party mode.

Buy the Zealot ZE41. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $100 saving on the Zealot ZE01 is not enough to make up the difference.

Zealot ZE41 ranking card

Pros: The absolute best value for the bass performance, play time and max volume in the boombox class.

Cons: The heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around. A little rolled off up top and not that balanced through the rest of the range. Clarity isn’t as good as better speakers. Bass EQ is bloated and muddy sounding.
