The Zealot ZE41 is the better-sounding, tougher choice. The absolute best value for the bass performance, play time and max volume in the boombox class. It is rated IPX5 against IPX2 for the Marshall Tufton. It links with other speakers (PartyAdd up to 100 speakers), which the Marshall Tufton cannot. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Marshall Tufton. The catch: The heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around.
The Marshall Tufton is the longer-running, lighter choice. 20 hour battery life; 2.5 hour full charge, or 20-min quick-charge for 4 hours of play. It is rated for 20 hours of battery against 4 for the Zealot ZE41. At 10.8 lbs (4.9 kg) it weighs much less than the Zealot ZE41 at 25.3 lbs (11.48 kg). The tradeoff: Not much lower bass, upper bass boomy, boosted treble, not very balanced overall.
Buy the Zealot ZE41. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Marshall Tufton and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.

Cons: The heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around. A little rolled off up top and not that balanced through the rest of the range. Clarity isn’t as good as better speakers. Bass EQ is bloated and muddy sounding.
