Short answer: the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 ranks #84 of 136 medium speakers by sound quality at $59.99; the Tribit Stormbox Flow ranks #49 at $60. Close enough in price that the sound-quality gap is the deciding factor.
What the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 offers: A small, IP67-rated design that floats and charges over USB-C. Watch for: Its bass does not reach as deep as the top-ranked speakers and sounds a little thuddy; beyond USB-C, it is not much of an upgrade over the Wonderboom 3.
What the Tribit Stormbox Flow offers: The Stormbox Flow offers up to 30 hours of battery life and phone charging, but its recessed mids and loose bass require XBass mode.
Buy the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 if the price matters more than sound quality. Buy the Tribit Stormbox Flow if sound quality matters more than the price.

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4: $59.99 Amazon
Pros: Small size.
Cons: Bass isn’t as deep as the top-ranked speakers and is a little thuddy. Not much improvement over the previous Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 besides the USB-C charging port.

Tribit Stormbox Flow: $60 Amazon
Pros: Up to 30 hours of battery life - roughly double most rivals (~20-24 hrs with XBass on). IP67 rated with a loose handle for carrying/hanging. Pairs with a second Flow for stereo; USB-C port charges your phone too.
Cons: Not stereo. Midrange and bass are weirdly recessed about 4db below 700hz. You need xbass mode for it to not sound like a clock radio with missing bass. You also can’t turn up the bass enough in the custom EQ modes to get it neutral, so it will sound bass light. Firmware 1.2.3 fixes the distortion issues with xbass mode on, but bass still sounds wobbly and uncontrolled.
