The Everboom is the smaller, longer-running UE. At 2.1 lbs (949 g) it weighs half as much as the Epicboom, claims 20 hours of battery against 17, and adds an app with EQ and PartyUp linking with up to 50 speakers. It is IP67 and keeps an aux input. Its warm tuning lifts the upper bass and rolls off the treble, and the bass does not go very deep.
The Epicboom is a larger stereo box that runs out of headroom. A 120mm woofer and two 45mm tweeters play in stereo, it floats, and it has a long Bluetooth range. Its bass is not very deep for its size, falling 10dB around 55Hz, and it distorts with bass thuds at about 70 to 80 percent volume. It has no app or EQ.
Buy the Ultimate Ears Everboom. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Ultimate Ears Epicboom and costs less, so it is the default pick unless a specific strength of the other one matters more to you.

Pros: 17 hour battery with USB-C charging (first UE portable with USB-C). IP67 rating, floats in water. Made mostly from recycled fabric and plastic. Large best-sounding UE portable that still feels portable. 180ft Bluetooth range. Measured bass extension of ~55Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not very deep bass for the size. Gets distorted at around 70-80% with bass thuds.
