What the Turtlebox Gen 3 does well: A loud, waterproof and crushproof outdoor speaker with a big battery, device charging and party mode linking. It links with other speakers (Turtlebox Party Mode), which the W-King D10 cannot. The catch: Sounds basically identical to the original and the Turtlebox Gen 2: each generation mainly added features, not sound quality.
The W-King D10 is the better-sounding, longer-running option. An inexpensive boombox with a 42 hour battery, water resistance, a power bank and a karaoke mic input. It is rated for 42 hours of battery against 25 for the Turtlebox Gen 3. At 7.9 lbs (3.6 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Turtlebox Gen 3 at 10 lbs (4.54 kg). It has an adjustable EQ, which the Turtlebox Gen 3 lacks. The tradeoff: Upper bass boost, bass not that deep.
Buy the W-King D10. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Turtlebox Gen 3 and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.
